Press the blue button on your remote to bring up a special version of the guide that uses only a small portion of the lower half of your screen.

DVR FAQs
How do I access the channel guide?
If you're adding a DVR to your existing DTV receiver, you won't have much adjusting to do. If you're new to the DVR altogether, access the Quick Menu by pressing the MENU button in the center of your remote. Press GUIDE to see programs that are now showing.
How do I pause or record live TV?
The play, pause, stop, rewind and record buttons on your remote work just like they would on a DVD player or VCR. Simply use those buttons while watching live TV. When watching recorded content, utilize the fast forward and advance buttons, which can jump 30 seconds ahead.
How do I schedule recordings?
Use the GUIDE button to see what's playing and select the program you'd like to record. Then press the record button while that show is highlighted. You can choose to record individual programs or entire series.
How do I search for future programs?
Use the MENU button on your remote to bring up the quick menu option. Then use the arrow buttons to navigate to the "Search" feature. This will bring up a menu that should allow you to search by name, person, keyword or channel.
How do I watch or change recorded items?
The LIST button on your remote will pull up all recorded programming on your DVR. This is also known as the playlist. Once on the playlist screen, you can press the yellow button to highlight the show you want to watch, edit or delete. Explore the menus and options on your playlist to change start and stop times and prioritize recordings.
